A member of the Grands Ateliers de France, boasting the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage) label, Ateliers Drevelle arches, presses and fashions precious wood: not only Tulipwood, Macassar, Sen and Palm tree, but also Yew or Swamp Oak. Their caskets contain cigars, cognac and sometimes even jewels and perfume.
A watercolour on the walls of the workshop caught our attention: it looked like a Ruhlmann, the famous early 20th century interior decorator. And then, wood rods with white and black detailing, lying in a corner of the “paradise”, the workshop wood storehouse. As Thierry Drevelle explained, they had been handmade for Ruhlmann by the grandfather, Albert Daubray. Such a perfect and auspicious coincidence gave birth to the "Ciel & Terre (Sky & Earth) " Cognac casket.
